Where is Waldo?

Where is Waldo? Wo ist Waldo?

We found Waldo in Appenzell last night! My friend Birgit and I went on a girl's getaway for a couple of days and one stop was Appenzell.  Appenzell is the center of the smallest canton in Switzerland: Appenzell Innerhoden. This quant town is full of colorful building and rich culture.  We happened to catch the town on a quiet weekend with several bands, including the Waldos, practicing for Fasnacht in a couple weeks.

We found a sweet little hotel in the middle of town with a community table in the restaurant full of locals playing the card game, Jass.  We also enjoyed a sweet local treat called an, "Appenzell Biber."
