Where should I move it?
Where - Wo
Stephan looked over at my grandmothers singer sewing machine and said, "Hmmmm.... it looks like we moved it too close to the wall, the tile border is pulling off the wall."
I responded, "Bummer - where should we move it?"
And with that we both sighed and went about our business.
And then we both looked at each other and thought- that doesn't make sense.
And that is when we realized - it wasn't the sewing machine - it was a leak.
So three weeks into living in our new apartment and we have a leak. From where - we have no idea. However, as we dig further - we are finding out that there was a leak 2 years ago in the same spot. There are differing opinions (one said the heating system and one said the new shower). And it is the buildings insurance not ours that is involved. And lots of phone calls and lots of waiting and lots of drilling. At this point - it is now up to the building insurance to fight the battle. We just hang out with this in our living room.
The one thing I will say the Swiss build solid buildings. The drilling to get to the pipes was quite amazing. First they drilled in the bathroom and when everything was dry they drilled on the outside wall in the living room. They took buckets of concrete and such out from those spots.

The opposite of this view - is the view outside. Stephan and I took a stroll up the hill by our apartment. Once we sat on the red bench and looked around us - all was good again. The leak will be resolved and our walk put everything into perspective. We are still very lucky and this will pass.
