Velo -  Das Fahrrad - Bicycle

Velo is the French and Swiss German word for bicycle. Der Fahrrad is the Standard German word. Either way you say it  - we are fortunate to have a bike room in the cellar.  It is such a great resource and space saver. Speaking of space saver - I love the bike rack.

Miriam is suppose to go back to the classroom on May 11. With that in mind, we decided to start to ride bikes to her school so she has the option of not taking the tram. We are all in favor of less interactions right now and not sure how to practice social distancing in the morning and afternoon rush.  

So we have taken a couple rides to her school (it is actually a very short trip) - possibly shorter than the tram ride, assuming we remember how to go. We follow some bike trails and then a side road. You ride past two little farms, a round-a-bout and then you are less than a minute away!

Have I mentioned how much I love the Toblerone bike. No it is not ours!  But you know you are really living in Switzerland!
