Uetliberg

local - lokal

Today was a beautiful day. Most likely one of the last warm days of the season. Stephan and I did not waste the day. We took our backpacks, water bottles and headed out. We decided to stay local and headed to the Uetliberg. (It also seems as though most of Zürich had the same idea). The Uetilberg is on the city tram line. The highest point is 870 m (2,850 ft).

The hike cleared our heads. As we headed up the mountain stress levels were higher than when we headed down. Perhaps I was numb from the hike up, but I was enjoying the natural highs of the long hike up and down.  The views and company couldn't be beat.

Sun in my eyes - but it is a photo of the two of us!

The start of the descent - I was happy, but tired.

As we re-entered the city we saw the lovely houses. Though we were in the city - at the bottom of the mountain there were cows and sheep in the meadow across from the hospital.

And we even treated ourselves afterward to a walk around the city and coffee outdoors.
