Cable Car - Die Seilbahn

There are two options to see Innsbruck from above. First up was the three cable cars to get to the top of Nordkette mountain chain. The view and the trip up made it a perfect outing. Lots of people were skiing. One of our favorite parts was when we were at the top - we could watch people practicing some tricks. Click the link to see 14 seconds of that.

The second place to go to get a good view is the ski jump (which was used for the olympics).  When visiting that space- my favorite view was from the base of the jump. It gives a view of just how huge (and dangerous) the sport is and what the skier faces. We did go to the top and were able to walk around. Before leaving we walking over to the Olympic rings and the caldron.  We took public transport - which meant we also got a little walk up the mountain and quickly walked through the museum (to be honest - we just did it for the Panoramic view).
