Shoot the Moon
Moon - Der Mond

Winter is getting long. It is the time of year that is a struggle in general. Add a pandemic... well you know. I realize the last time I wrote was about the snowstorm. It was pretty spectacular those first few days. We enjoyed playing in the snow.

We enjoyed the temporary friend.

We enjoyed the walks.

And then like most cities, it turned grey and we had black ice. And yes, I fell. The good news - I didn't hit my head this time. But even at the end of the snow - we tried to find the beauty.

So what does any of these photos have to do with the moon. Well, we have been spending a lot of time playing cards and board games. One game we play regularly is Hearts. When you take all the hearts and the Queen (Dame) of spades. it is called, Shooting the Moon. It is not often, that someone does that but when they do it is a great moment. Last weekend, Miriam shot the moon for the first time. It was pretty exciting, even if we were not in a pandemic. However, since we are in a pandemic and there is very little entertainment - I admit we might have celebrated a bit more than normal.
