The 2 day escape with my friend Birgit started in Schaufhausen. A lovely town that has been high on my wishlist of local visits. And it did not disappoint. Lovely winding streets. We found a very modern style bar/restaurant in an old stone room. Plus the castle was clearly a fortress with stone circular spirals rather than stairs to allow the soldiers and weapons easy access.
