Murg - Quinten - Weesen

This past Sunday, we took another glorious hike. We took the train to Murg and walked around there for a bit until the ferry took us across the lake to Quinten. Quinten was adorable and a place I would like to visit for more than a walk through to the trails. Situated along the lake front of the Walensee it was just lovely. From Quinten we started our hike to Weesen. At first, it seemed pretty tame and we were complimenting Stephan for his perfect pick of a hike. However, soon after the compliments came the steep inclines. We knew the trail was a moderate level but had no idea what this particular "moderate" actual meant. This was not what I would classify as moderate. đŸ˜„ We climbed up for about 1.5 hours. About an hour in - there were ropes in the rocks to help you climb up. I admit I got very nervous if I was going to be able to complete the hike - but the ropes were for only a small portion. After the 1.5 hours of hiking up a small stop at a waterfalls for a lunch break - the trail down was very easy. The additional waterfalls, cool breezes, views of the lake, easy trails down and the company were the reward for the hard work that we uploaded. Weesen was also another lovely town, though we were ready to call it a day as we looked for our bus stop to the train station to take us home. Definitely one of the most challenging hikes I have done to date, and even with my F-bombs being dropped every time we turned a corner and I saw another incline - it was one of the most satisfying hikes I have done. If you decide to do this hike - I would recommend the route we took - versus going the other way. Hiking down what we climbed would have been much harder and truthfully - I believe it was much more fulling this way.
