Miriam is 15

15 - Fünfteen

Miriam turned 15 a few day ago. Looking back on the past year - it is a lot to take in. One year ago we were sitting in our new city, not knowing anyone.  I know Miriam was feeling very alone, but trying to stay positive. Away from her friends, her home and not even knowing the public transportation system. Fast forward a year and she is a champion public transportation, and still positive about the future. Though it was a rough year (for the world in general), she managed it and made it through. She is looking forward to what is in store for this coming year, mask and all.

This year has been the year of resilience for everyone. And Miriam, you continue to impress us with your determination and hope for a better tomorrow.  Onward!

For Miriam's birthday, we spent the day with family. First just the four of us on a couple nature walks, followed by a lunch out in the beautiful weather with Oma and Opa.  Then back out exploring nature.

We were able to get to see a great view in the morning.

Then a stroll through Fuschl and walk near the Attersee.

The evening was filled with Oma's kaiserschmarrn (Austrian torn pancakes) and family.
