Mailand
This past weekend we took the train to Milan. I cannot believe we have only been once before when we first moved here. It was a direct train that took about 3 hours and change. It was the perfect amount for a weekend. On Friday and Saturday we spent portions of it missing the rain. We saw the Duomo from the outside and the rest of the time we spent outside the tourist areas. Saturday, we had some success at the thrift shops and saw parts of Milan that were mainly residential which was super interesting. We saw Roman ruins, fun cars and an old pay phone. On Sunday, we walked around the canal area - which I did not know existed, strolled the Sunday market, people watched and went into an artists studio. Oh, and the gluten free food was amazing. Everyone on our trip had their share of pasta, pizza and treats. I also must say - I think I had the best, decaf capp with oat milk I have had to date... (Might have stopped there a few times). We strolled the fashion district, wandered the parks and even got to see a dedication to Harvey Milk.
