Lunch in Italy

The rain has been continual these past two months. There are floods, mudslides and road closures in parts of Switzerland. Other than a few warm days the temperatures have hovered around 60-70 degrees. Even as someone that prefers cool days over the warm summer ones - sometimes you just want to see the sun.

My friend Birgit and I decided to see what our southern neighbor had to offer on this rainy day in Zürich. So we took an early train and headed to Lake Como in Italy. From coats to wishing we had our summer dresses on we zipped around this summer town. We strolled from the train station to the waterfront. There was a lot of construction where the promenade is so it did not make it for a glamorous stroll but we decided to wander the little streets. And the little streets did not disappoint.

After a delightful lunch in a little cafe we continued our walk through the various street vendors and lovely buildings. And slowly made our way back to the train station and returned to Zürich - all before dinner.
