Circle - der Kreis

In Zürich, area of neighborhoods or districts are called Kreis. There are 12 Kreisen or districts. We live one street outside of the 11th. This Kreis is made up of 3 main neighborhoods: Oerlikon, Seebach and Affoltern. We have spent most of our time in Oerlikon. It is a main train station, the largest farmer's market and where our doctor's and several favorite restaurants are located.

However, we recently have been walking around the other areas. On weekends, clocking in over 20K steps as we explore the various streets, walkways and woods.

It is quite amazing to be in a city and see this on your strolls through the streets.

One minute you are on typical streets and then the next moment you are in the woods - all still within the city limits.
