Jewish Prague
While in Prague we visited the Jewish quarter. Many years ago - ('95) I visited Prague with two cousins for a night when I was staying with them in Germany. I remember very little of that time. I remember that we rented beds from an older lady, the astronomical clock, the handmade puppets in the market square and the Jewish cemetery. I bought a painting that I still hang in my house from a local Jewish artist. This time I got a Golem to bring home from a local artist.
The Golem, though over years and Hollywood has often been changed to represent bad. However, the story of the Golem began in the Jewish community in Prague. A creature created from clay to protect the Jewish community from progroms and threats.
