It is 2pm

The clock - Die Uhr

I know I already posted for this week. Yesterday's post about Bellizona was just to not forgot the little town we visited when we went to Lugano.

But today was feeling odd to me and I looked at the clock and it made sense.

The clock says 2pm. That means Stephan has navigated the streets of Vienna with the car and now the trunk is open. He and Klara are probably discussing which bag to empty first. My guess is he will not be allowed into the dorm due to covid. She will take everything up and once she grabs the last bag he will drive back to the garage and walk briskly to the apartment and dive right back into work. My guess he will be extra super focused today.

He knows he gets another couple chances to see her before he returns. He will get a few more dinners and a pop over to the apartment (because she probably left something or doesn't want to keep everything she packed).

I got a funny text from her this morning during the break of her first day of class.

I know she and Miriam did a virtual yoga class together last night.

I will get a couple text messages asking a question here or there but overall I expect silence. And I have to keep remembering, "No news is good news."

We have talked about this moment for years. This is what is suppose to happen.

So for now, I will sit in front of my computer and focus on my work. (Yeah sure...)

But when I get up - I will realize that everything in the room reminds me of her.

And then I will remind myself - that is the way I wanted it - when she went off to college I would move my computer into her room so I could be near her. (And for the record Miriam has moved her study space here too). Living in an apartment, you use every space possible and this is really a good use of this space. With that said - When Klara comes home for visits - we will happily (and quickly) retreat.

Don't worry K, I will not be texting you and checking on you...

But if you want - you can text me....
