Geneve for Lunch!

Lunch - das Mittagessen

My friend Birgit and I both had a free weekend so on Saturday morning we hopped on a train and headed to Geneve. We got there just in time for lunch. We wandered the small streets and came across a Mexican Restaurant. Once refueled, we headed over the bridge to the other side of city. Of course we strolled through the lake front Christmas Market. The skies were clear - which is a nice break from all the rain. The waters are very high all over Switzerland. However, it didn't stop the Christmas swim. We watched as people jumped in and swam to the other side of the race. Enjoyed exploring and headed home in time for a late dinner at home. It was nice.

And locals: Make note, Sunday we met at the Oerlikon Christmas Market and by far my favorite as everything was locally made.

And yes - we stopped by the American Store in Geneve to laugh at the prices....There will be no boxed cookies anytime soon in this house, especially for 15.30 CHF!
