Elba

Island - Die Insel

The walk to the beach
Taking time to relax

After a week of heat and cities- we hopped the ferry to the Island Elba. We parked the car when we arrived and only touched it when it was time to pack up and head to the ferry. We enjoyed spending the week, sleeping in, going to the beach and hanging out in the garden of the house we were staying. We would walk to town to watch the boats come and go. We found the local grocery store and produce stand and cooked most meals at home.  In the middle of the week - Klara turned 19 years old. We found a great Gelateria and on her birthday had a special gluten free cake made for the occasion.  I took some footage of our car ride- mind you - this was not the smallest street - there were several streets this trip - that required a lot of patience and a much smaller car. We made it - without any dings to the car so overall - a very successful trip. At the end of the week - we were all ready to head home.
