Eguisheim

My dear childhood friend and her family came to visit. We met almost 40 years ago in a Disney World's campground. Every winter our parents would camp there and we met at one of the bathhouses. Once we connected - we were inseparably. It has been over 15 years since we have seen each other in person, and I am grateful she made the trip over. She and her family took an adventure to Italy for part of their trip - and we shared several other adventures together. Our first road trip was to France. We saw Eguisheim and Colmar in one day. I had never been to Eguisheim but it was an amazing little village. And supposedly an inspiration of the Disnay movie, "Beauty and the Beast."

Today's photos are from Eguisheim. There is one photo with three towers in the on the top of a mountain. These are the remains of castle ruins. We didn't have enough time to hike there - but it is possible from this town along the vineyard. The town was all dressed up for Easter and note the stork nests.
