An Afternoon in Weinfelden

Afternoon - Der Nachmittag

For an afternoon, this past weekend, we headed to Weinfelden, just Stephan and myself. It is a small little town near the German border. A quick hop on the train (a note for local curiosity- we used the new EasyRide on our train tickets - it was so simple - the absolute opposite of the machines - I just don't get those things!  And in my defense, some German speaking family members have challenges with them too - so it is not just me trying to muddle through in the German or English).

In under an hour we were in this beautiful little town. We walked the town and had a great coffee at a woman-owned shop: Cafe Famos. We took a nice stroll up to the vineyard up the mountain. There we went to a friend's celebration, enjoyed the company, food, wine and view. We decided to head down the mountain for the fresh (a bit colder than before) but lovely stroll back to the train.
