14 years

14 - vierzehn

July 19 marks the 14th birthday of Miriam. Just a year ago she wowed us at her Bat Mitzvah. And today she is running around Zürich going to German class (this is the first time she has had school on her birthday - she is not liking it!) and then headed to see Spiderman with Klara.  As I sit and wait to meet up with them to celebrate with a family dinner - I try and find words to mark this day. And I keep coming back to the little prayer I wrote for her that I read on her Bat Mitzvah.  No real creativity in me today as it is hot and I am anxious to spend time with my family. So I will leave with the prayer for Miriam. Though she already does this - it is meant as a friendly reminder. (We can pretend we are still standing on the bimah). With all my love for Miriam.
